Sintai is the largest wooden umbrella manufacturer in the world. Numbers speak for themselves. In 2011, we exported 1,200,000 umbrellas to achieve a turnover of 45 million USD with 280 customers. In the peak season, we employ 1600 workers in our Dongguan facilities, located just an hour from Hong Kong.

It all started back in 1992 when the company was established in Singapore. Our first factory was situated in Nanhai in the Guangdong province. Demand quickly outgrew capacity as our customers liked the value we were providing them: quality products at very competitive prices.

A second production unit opened to support the company’s expansion. In 1997, a 110,000 m2 piece of land was acquired in Dongguan to regroup both facilities.

With the luxury of space, we could set up the new production lines in a way that facilitates quality management while providing a comfortable working environment to our employees. With ample storage capacity, Sintai keeps a very large inventory of wood materials to be able to answer any demand quickly while keeping costs down.
